Death - What may it mean to us?

One Question
Why do we have skills? Definitely we've learned them somewhere sometime, but when? I don't know, even I've never been exposed to such context. Then how is it that I don't need to put any effort for some sort of work, but others do? How can I do it so easily as I've been trained for it? Is God being partial or he has some kind of random mechanism to grant these?

My Analogy to Life
And that comes from our previous lives, which I call as "पिछले जन्मो का पुण्य (Results of your last lives)". We did something significant in our previous lives, although we don't remember it, but it is always with us.

Life is like a chapter of some book, we've started somewhere heading towards somewhere else, each chapter makes a little progress towards its destination. Any chapter doesn't make any sense to the journey without its preceding ones followed by next ones. But the chapter gives something on its own, it has got some meaning and it has its own importance, but is it all? No. it must be seen as a whole book rather than a single chapter. When we're reading this chapter we don't know where it's heading towards, but we make a best guess from the current knowledge (gained from previous and current chapters) and move ahead to next one and as we move ahead we get clearer and clearer about the destination (but I don't think that's important because we never know it for sure, caution: it can mislead us if we'll assume it incorrectly, so better don't do).

A bit of Explanation
This is the way, I think, life is. When we die, don't think its all over, this is just end of one chapter, we should have something to move with, to the next life. Are we really moving towards the final destination (weather we know it or not, as said above), are we really making the best move or we've stuck in (individual chapters) current life only? Keep the big goal in mind.

However, it's not expected to ignore the present, in the view of the final destination, because you never know it, what you do is just a wise guess. If something is in front of you, think why, that means it is to be done by you (if you encounter a very vague paragraph in the running text of chapter, no matter how irrelevant it looks to you, but it is here because it has something to do with the book, may be you'll realize it somewhat later, but think, can you ignore it?), and the better you do it, the better is your move.

In my view, the best policy of life is to keep moving ahead, finish whatever you encounter on the way, with the best of you, meanwhile you'll get the knowledge and experience which will help you ahead, no need to think what is next to come. If you're doing good with the present you're on the right way, even if you don't realize it. And think logically, even if you get to know what is next, what can you do is just, best of now.

Keep acquiring knowledge and skills, which will automatically come, if you're doing your job honestly. The more we earn today the longer we'll leap tomorrow. But what is important is that we should remember that this life is not a dead end, it continues far after that, so don't think of quick results and this is what वैराग्य (विगतो रागों विषयेषु यस्मात् स विरागः, विरागस्य भावौ वैराग्यम , i.e. do not associate thing with you, you are just a care taker) tells us. But be cautious, this doesn't mean that you are not allowed to do certain things, do whatever you think needs to be done but keep the bigger picture in mind (the notion in this line needs a lot of experience and wisdom to decide, but still, it doesn't matter at all, what you can do, is just, best of you, and that is perfectly all right, provided you are being honest).

One more thing
We all have not started from the same place at the same time and also we don't put same efforts, so some of us are ahead and some are behind, and that's why we all are at different positions having different skills of different levels and enjoying varying degrees of lucks.

So keep going to next chapters with little progress in each one. Acquire more and more in this life so that you don't complain in the next one, in fact if you do, it was all your fault, so correct it. Remember that everything you earn doesn't go with you पर कुछ तो है जो साथ जाता है, so identify them and focus on them.

Conclusion
Death is just a refreshing stay in the journey, you get one, you start fresh.

Whatever is written above is certainly not created by me, it is all there, always. But probably I've realized it. People say these all the time, but we don't realize its meaning, I tried. Take any saying popular among us, think on it and you'll get to know. For example we all know झूंठ बोलना पाप है, but do we REALLY "know" it?

Think about it.
